Suzuki Arts Co. embodies Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's vision to enrich the lives of people of all ages through transformative music education and performance.

Our Impact:

Suzuki Arts Co. currently reaches hundreds of students, families, and music lovers throughout the Kansas City metro area. Our unique approach uses music as the medium to teach life skills to students by emphasizing how to learn difficult skills, how to practice a hard skill by breaking it down into small steps, how to manage your time to practice at home, how to compromise and make music with others, how to be humble and support peers. Our approach helps families understand how to work together through conflicts and difficult situations; through music practice, families learn strategies for cooperation, bonding and how to achieve goals as a team.

Suzuki Arts’ various education programs include the:

  • Kansas City Suzuki Academy: A premier institution offering high-quality music education.

  • Suzuki Community Concerts: Public performances that showcase the talents of our students and faculty while enriching the local arts community.

  • Coda Chamber Music: An ensemble program that fosters collaboration among musicians of various ages and skill levels at the KC Suzuki Academy.

  • KC Suzuki Institute: A summer program providing intensive music training and performance opportunities.

Each of these branches serves to strengthen the family relations of the Kansas City community by using music education as a tool for improving communication skills, organizational skills, college readiness and compromise tactics.

    • A special event venue rental for one of our performances
